GROWTH RATE & MATURE SIZE:

Moderate growth rate; reaches a mature height and width of 3-5 feet.

WATERING & SUNLIGHT

Silver Dream™ Sage is a drought-tolerant plant that thrives in full sun. Water deeply but allow the soil to dry out between waterings. This low-maintenance plant is an excellent choice for water-wise gardens and hot, sunny locations.

PLANT CARE & PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS

PRUNING:
Lightly prune Silver Dream Sage in early spring to encourage bushier growth and more abundant flowering.

FERTILIZING:
Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support healthy growth and abundant blooms.

WINTER PROTECTION:
In colder climates, mulch around the base to provide extra insulation against winter cold.

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Select a well-drained location that receives full sun. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and as deep as the container. Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots. Place the plant in the hole and backfill with soil, patting down firmly to eliminate air pockets. Water thoroughly to help establish the roots. Apply a 2-3 inch layer of mulch around the base, avoiding contact with the stem, to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature.

USDA GROW ZONE:

Zones 7-11

Silver Dream™ Sage is best suited for USDA Grow Zones 7-11. In these zones, the climate offers the mild winters and hot, arid conditions that this plant thrives in. The temperature range in these zones allows for optimal growth, robust flowering, and overall health of the plant. If you live within these zones, you can expect this drought-tolerant plant to be a low-maintenance addition to your landscape.

All California orders require a mandatory inspection by the Texas Department of Agriculture (yep, it’s a USDA thing!). These inspections happen about once a week—typically on Tuesdays, though the day can vary. If you place an order just after an inspection, your plant may not ship for several days until the next one. Unfortunately, we’re not able to expedite this part of the process.

Also, due to USDA regulations, we’re unable to ship oak trees, citrus or fruit trees (except olive trees) to California. This rule helps prevent the spread of pests and diseases and applies to nurseries across the country.

Thanks for your patience—we’ll make sure it’s worth the wait.
