PLANT DESCRIPTION & MATURE SIZE

Bushel and Berry® Peach Sorbet™ Blueberry Bush, scientifically known as Vaccinium corymbosum ‘ZF06-043’, is a compact ornamental blueberry shrub prized for its colorful foliage and edible berries. New growth emerges in shades of peach, pink, and orange before maturing to green, creating multi-season interest in the landscape. With its manageable size, spring blooms, and sweet blueberries, Peach Sorbet™ Blueberry is perfect for patios, containers, edible gardens, and small spaces.

GROWTH RATE & MATURE SIZE:

Moderate growth rate. Peach Sorbet™ Blueberry typically grows 1–2 feet per year and reaches 1.5–2 feet tall and 1.5–2 feet wide at maturity.

WATERING & SUNLIGHT

Water deeply and keep soil consistently moist but not soggy, especially during flowering and fruit production. Typically water 1–2 times per week, though watering frequency will vary depending on climate, rainfall, container vs. in-ground planting, and soil conditions.

Peach Sorbet™ Blueberry grows best in full sun, though it can tolerate partial sun.

PLANT CARE & PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS

PRUNING:
Minimal pruning is needed. Remove dead or weak branches in late winter or early spring and lightly thin older stems as the plant matures to encourage airflow and fruit production.

FERTILIZING:
Apply an acid-loving plant fertilizer in early spring to support healthy growth and berry production. Avoid fertilizing for the first 2–3 months after delivery to allow the plant to adjust and establish.

WINTER PROTECTION:
Peach Sorbet™ Blueberry is cold hardy within its recommended zones. Applying 2–3 inches of mulch around the base can help protect roots and maintain soil moisture.

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Choose a planting location with full sun and acidic, well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and about the same depth as the container. Place the plant in the hole, backfill gently, and water thoroughly after planting. Mulch around the base to help retain moisture and maintain cooler soil temperatures. Avoid alkaline soils for best performance.

USDA GROW ZONE:

Zones 5-10

Peach Sorbet™ Blueberry grows well in USDA Zones 5–10 and adapts to a wide range of climates. It performs best in full sun with acidic, well-draining soil and consistent moisture. This compact blueberry variety is ideal for containers, patios, and smaller landscapes while still producing edible fruit and vibrant seasonal foliage.

All California orders require a mandatory inspection by the Texas Department of Agriculture (yep, it’s a USDA thing!). These inspections happen about once a week—typically on Tuesdays, though the day can vary. If you place an order just after an inspection, your plant may not ship for several days until the next one. Unfortunately, we’re not able to expedite this part of the process.

Also, due to USDA regulations, we’re unable to ship oak trees, citrus or fruit trees (except olive trees) to California. This rule helps prevent the spread of pests and diseases and applies to nurseries across the country.

Thanks for your patience—we’ll make sure it’s worth the wait.
