PLANT DESCRIPTION & MATURE SIZE

All-in-One Almond Tree, scientifically known as Prunus dulcis, is a productive nut tree prized for its beautiful early spring blossoms and delicious homegrown almonds. This self-fertile almond variety produces sweet, edible nuts while also serving as an ornamental tree with fragrant pink flowers that bloom before the leaves emerge. With its manageable size and reliable harvests, the All-in-One Almond Tree is a popular choice for backyard orchards and edible landscapes.

GROWTH RATE & MATURE SIZE:

Moderate growth rate. All-in-One Almond Trees typically grow 1–2 feet per year and reach 15–20 feet tall and 10–15 feet wide at maturity.

WATERING & SUNLIGHT

Water deeply once or twice per week during the first growing season to establish a strong root system. Once established, almond trees require moderate watering, particularly during the growing and nut development stages. Watering frequency will vary depending on soil conditions, rainfall, temperature, and local climate.

All-in-One Almond Trees grow best in full sun, which promotes healthy flowering and nut production.

PLANT CARE & PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS

PRUNING:
Prune in late winter while the tree is dormant to remove dead or crowded branches and shape the canopy. Proper pruning improves airflow and helps support better nut production.

FERTILIZING:
Apply a balanced fruit and nut tree fertilizer in early spring to encourage healthy growth and nut development. Avoid fertilizing for the first 2–3 months after delivery to allow the plant to adjust and establish.

WINTER PROTECTION:
Within its recommended growing zones, almond trees generally require little winter protection. Applying mulch around the base of young trees can help protect roots and maintain soil moisture.

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Choose a planting location with full sun and well-draining soil. Dig a hole two to three times wider than the root ball and about the same depth as the nursery container so the tree sits at the same level it was growing previously. Place the tree in the hole, backfill with soil, and gently firm the soil to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly after planting. Apply 2–3 inches of mulch around the base of the tree to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature, keeping mulch a few inches away from the trunk.

USDA GROW ZONE:

Zones 7-9

All-in-One Almond Trees grow best in USDA Zones 7–9 and thrive in warm climates with long, hot summers. They prefer well-draining soil and full sun exposure. These trees perform especially well in regions with mild winters and dry summers, making them well suited for many western and southern climates. Proper drainage and sunlight are essential for healthy growth and nut production.

All California orders require a mandatory inspection by the Texas Department of Agriculture (yep, it’s a USDA thing!). These inspections happen about once a week—typically on Tuesdays, though the day can vary. If you place an order just after an inspection, your plant may not ship for several days until the next one. Unfortunately, we’re not able to expedite this part of the process.

Also, due to USDA regulations, we’re unable to ship oak trees, citrus or fruit trees (except olive trees) to California. This rule helps prevent the spread of pests and diseases and applies to nurseries across the country.

Thanks for your patience—we’ll make sure it’s worth the wait.
